THE BEARS IN REVIEW

Sometimes people ask why bears?  Well, it all started with a little blue stuffed bear 5 Christmas ago.  Then, it didn't seam right that he didn't have a girl friend, so a little pink bear joined the team.  The goal from the very begining was to grow food and provide seed and plants to others in need.  Whether that need was just a smile, or food to share with others, or to feed themselves and their families.  But, that still doesn't answer why the bears?  Well, as we grew, we needed more bears to help with the different departments that we evolved into.  Thus the additon of Choo cho, Field Reporter O'Beary, Mikey & Ike and many more.  But the real answer lies in the very nature of what we do.

Since all labor is volunteer un paid possitions, and our only fund raisers have been a barn sale and some pumpkin sales, we are a "piggy bank not for profit bunch of bears" !!!  And there is always more to do, and equipment needed.  Thanks to the help from the Gerkin family (Larry the farmer) & his mother  (Rubys Green House) and father, we have been able to do much for our rural community.
We have also been able to ship seed to others free of charge.  But, Here is the real answer...

People need help.   And when that help comes from a bunch of  little stuffed bears, their pride is protected.  Besides, we the human volunteers don't want any credit nor recognition for what we do.  It is out of this respect for others that we have chosen warm, silly, and always loveable bears.

Blu Bears Garden...an overview

From seedlings to plants to the ever expanding garden and starter green houses, Blu Bears garden has grown from a small collection of seeds, to the provider of seeds to others wishing to grow a garden, patio plants, or a large scale food for others operation.  We have given away thousands of pounds of fresh, pesticide free produce, as well as plants to bring joy to others.
